Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was established in the year 2009 with an undergraduate program (UG) and the intake is 60. The postgraduate program (PG) has also been available since 2014 with an intake capacity as 24. The vision of the department is to produce highly qualified and motivated engineers. This is achieved by imparting in-depth theoretical knowledge followed by hands-on training in laboratories. It is fully-fledged with the state of art laboratories and has a team of highly qualified, dedicated and experienced faculties. It has well equipped and well-furnished laboratories with all the facilities to cater to the need of students. The department exposes its students not only to the regular Engineering Curriculum but also strives to inculcate a professional and skill-based attitude in them and effectively implement the National Education Policy 2020. The faculty takes initiative to develop new teaching and learning methods by using the latest modern teaching aids. The department always strives to inculcate the very best in the students so that they can acquire the expertise to tackle engineering problems with immense confidence. The department has eight laboratories for UG and two laboratories exclusively for PG. The Department has LabVIEW Academy which is the authorized center of National Instruments, USA to provide hands-on training in LabVIEW for students, Faculty and industrial persons. The department has established the Virtual Instrumentation Centre of Excellence in association with Kimaya Automation Pvt. Ltd., Pune. Also, E-Yantra Embedded Systems and Robotics Lab supported by e-Yantra Lab Setup Initiative (eLSI) – IIT Bombay, has been established to give hands-on exposure with embedded equipment.
I am confident that the staff members and students would satisfy the responsibility and credibility of the department by showing a high level of professional competence in their respective domains.
