Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions (Autonomous), Vathar.
Our department is committed to developing skilled, innovative, and industry-ready engineers through quality education, practical learning, research, and strong industry collaboration. With advanced facilities in 3D Printing, Robotics, CAD/CAM, Automation, and Smart Manufacturing, students gain hands-on experience in modern engineering technologies.
Through the Tata Technologies DRE Centre, students receive specialized training in ANSYS, CATIA, Creo, and SolidWorks, enhancing their employability in leading industries. We are proud of our strong alumni network of more than 2,000 graduates serving in multinational companies, government organizations, RTO, defence services, and research institutions across India and abroad. Our distinguished alumnus, Mr. Nitin Surange, is currently working as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Abu Dhabi with an annual package of ₹85 LPA.
The department has achieved excellent placement results in recent years. During the last three years, several students have secured packages exceeding ₹6 LPA in reputed multinational companies, with many receiving opportunities for Work from Home. This achievement reflects the quality of education, industry-oriented training, and skill development initiatives undertaken by the department.
Mechanical Engineering offers diverse career opportunities in Design, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Defence, Railways, IT, DRDO, ISRO, R&D, Public Sector Organizations, RTO, and Entrepreneurship. The department actively promotes innovation, industry-sponsored projects, internships, research publications, and higher studies.
