Welcome to the Department of Mechanical Engineering
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions (Autonomous), Vathar.
Mechanical Engineering is one of the most versatile and dynamic engineering disciplines, providing opportunities across Design, Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Defence, Robotics, Automation, Energy, Mechatronics, Smart Manufacturing and emerging technologies. At our department, we are committed to developing technically competent, innovative, ethical and industry-ready engineers who can contribute meaningfully to society and the global engineering community.
Our department emphasizes Outcome-Based Education, experiential learning, hands-on training, industry interaction, research, innovation and entrepreneurship. As an autonomous institution, we continuously work towards developing a flexible, industry-oriented and future-ready curriculum that responds to emerging technological and industrial requirements.
Students are provided opportunities to gain practical exposure through modern facilities and technologies including CAD/CAM, CNC, 3D Printing, Robotics, Automation, Mechatronics, Simulation, Advanced Manufacturing and Smart Manufacturing. Industry-oriented training, internships, industrial visits, expert lectures, certification programmes and project-based learning help students bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world engineering practice.
Industry Exposure and Skill Development
We place strong emphasis on employability and professional skill development. Students are encouraged to develop expertise in advanced engineering software, design and simulation tools, manufacturing technologies, automation and emerging digital technologies. Through our industry collaborations and Training & Placement initiatives, students receive continuous support in technical skills, aptitude, communication, interview preparation and professional development.
Our Training & Placement Cell has established strong connections with reputed organizations across various sectors. Companies such as TCS, Cognizant, Exide, Tata Motors, Kala Group and Suroj Buildcon, among others, have been associated with recruitment activities at AMGOI.
Placement Excellence
The institute has demonstrated consistent progress in campus placements. During the last three years, AMGOI has recorded more than 1,200 placements. In Academic Year 2025–26, more than 290 placements have already been achieved, with the placement season continuing.

We encourage faculty members and students to undertake meaningful research and development activities in emerging areas such as Renewable Energy, Wind Energy, Condition Monitoring, Structural Health Monitoring, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Digital Twins, Industry 4.0, Advanced Manufacturing, Robotics and Automation.
We aim to create an ecosystem in which students can transform their ideas into innovative projects, prototypes, research publications, patents, startups and industry-oriented solutions.
