Message from the Head of the Department
Welcome to the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions (AMGOI), an Autonomous Institute committed to academic excellence, innovation, and industry-oriented education.
Since its inception in 2009, the department has been dedicated to nurturing competent computer professionals equipped with strong technical knowledge, ethical values, and problem-solving abilities. With an intake of 180 students, our undergraduate program is designed to meet the evolving demands of the computing industry and the aspirations of future engineers.
The autonomous status of our institute provides us with the flexibility to design and continuously update our curriculum in alignment with emerging technologies, industry requirements, and the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP). This enables our students to gain expertise in contemporary domains such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Software Engineering.
The department is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, including 11 advanced computer laboratories, a dedicated server room, smart classrooms, a seminar hall, a departmental library, and high-speed internet connectivity through a 1 Gbps leased line. These facilities provide an ideal environment for learning, experimentation, research, and innovation.
We strongly believe that industry interaction is essential for producing employable graduates. Our collaborations with leading organizations such as Google Cloud, TCS, Cisco and other industry partners provide students with opportunities for professional certifications, hands-on training, expert sessions, internships, and exposure to real-world technologies. Through our association with the Google Cloud Skills Boost Program, students gain access to globally recognized cloud computing resources, industry-relevant learning paths, and certification opportunities.
The department regularly organizes workshops, seminars, hackathons, technical competitions, guest lectures, and skill development programs through the Association of Computer Science Engineers and Students (ACSES). These initiatives encourage students to enhance their technical competencies, leadership qualities, communication skills, and innovative thinking.
