ABOUT US –
Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering
A very warm welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering, proudly run by the prestigious Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions. Civil Engineering is widely known as one of the oldest and most respected disciplines in the field of engineering. Civil Engineers play a crucial role in designing, building, and managing the infrastructure that supports our civilization, including buildings, bridges, highways, water supply systems, and various public works. These foundational services, although still vital, are just a part of the broader scope of civil engineering.
Our department offers comprehensive programs in Civil Engineering at undergraduate (UG) level and M. Tech. Construction Management at postgraduate (PG) level with sanctioned intake of 60 and 18 respectively. The department was established in 2009 with an intake of 60 students at undergraduate (UG) level, which has since been revised to 30 students from the academic year 2024-25. These programs are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Mumbai, and are affiliated with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere.
A significant highlight of the department is that the Civil Engineering program is accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) from academic year 2017-18 to 2019-20. Additionally, our institution has been accredited by NAAC (2 cycles).
The Department of Civil Engineering boasts excellent infrastructure, state-of-the-art laboratories, and advanced computing facilities, providing students with countless opportunities to enhance their potential and skills. Furthermore, the department actively contributes to societal and industrial needs through consultancy services.
Our faculty members are a dynamic mix of experienced professionals and young, talented individuals, each bringing expertise from various domains within civil engineering. Students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of curricular and co-curricular activities, fostering both academic and personal growth.
The Civil Engineering Students Association (CESA) plays a vital role in organizing and promoting such activities. Department also organizes various industrial visits to observe real-world scenarios, interact with industry professionals and gain hands-on insights that enhances understanding of our field.
There is total 12 active Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) signed by the department which creates new opportunities for collaboration and research. We continue to see exceptional results from our GATE achievers, demonstrating the caliber of our academic programs. The consistent success in campus placements speaks about our students’ readiness for the industry.
Department has 3Ds Max club as a Center of Excellence (CoE) offering regular workshops and training sessions, hands-on project learning, participation in competitions etc. Each year, we acknowledge the best outgoing student from our department, celebrating their exemplary journey and promising future. We have very strong alumni network, which are present worldwide and their success, innovation, and leadership truly warm my heart and fill me with immense pride.
We look forward to your journey of growth and learning with us at the Department of Civil Engineering of AMGOI.
