Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering
A very warm welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at Ashokrao Mane Group of Institutions (AMGOI), Vathar.
Civil Engineering is one of the oldest and most respected branches of engineering, contributing significantly to the development of sustainable infrastructure and the betterment of society. The Institute attained Autonomous Status from the Academic Year 2025–26. Under this autonomous framework, the Department offers B.Tech. in Civil Engineering and M.Tech. in Construction Management programs, providing students with enhanced academic flexibility, industry-oriented curricula, innovative learning opportunities, and greater opportunities for research, skill development, and career advancement. In addition to the regular B.Tech. program, the Department offers a B.Tech. (Honours) Degree in Advanced and Modern Civil Engineering and a Multidisciplinary Minor Program in Planning and Execution of Projects. These programs enable students to acquire specialized knowledge in emerging areas such as digital construction technologies, Building Information Modeling (BIM), smart infrastructure, artificial intelligence, automation, and Industry 4.0.
The Department is equipped with modern laboratories, experienced faculty members, and excellent infrastructure that foster learning, innovation, and professional growth. We actively promote experiential learning through industrial visits, consultancy projects, workshops, seminars, and technical events. The Department has also successfully organized an AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy Faculty Development Program (FDP) sponsored by AICTE, New Delhi.
Students are encouraged to participate in Hackathons, Ideathons, Project-Based Learning (PBL) activities, technical competitions, and innovation-driven initiatives. Regular Student Development Programs (SDPs), software training programs, expert lectures, and skill enhancement workshops further strengthen their technical and professional competencies.
